5 CURRANT PORRIDGE- RECIPES

Ingredients:

Currants of

Turkey berry currant- 4 tsp;

Physalis currant – 4 tsp;

Brinjal currant;

Onion  currant-4 tsp;

Cluster beans currant-4 tsp;

Gingly oil- 2 tsp;

Chili powder- 2 tsp;

Coriander seeds– 2 tsp;

Turmeric powder- 1½ tsp; mustard- 1 tsp;

Small onion – 2 handfuls; tamarind – like a lemon measure; dry chili- 2;

Fenugreek- 1 tsp and

Curry leaves.

Method:

Grind the required for powdering in the mixi, after frying in a pan. Pour jingly oil in the pan and fry mustard, dry chili and curry leaves. Fry all the currants of 5 varieties and saute small onions. In the tamarind water, mix the chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and pour in the pan along with the other fried items. Allow it to boil after adding salt.  Add 2 tsps of masala powder and switch off. Tasty currant porridge is ready.
