IS MOSQUITO STRONG SO AS TO SUCK BLOOD BY PIERCING IN THE BODY?
There is special system in mosquito for sucking blood by piercing the body. In the mouth portion of the mosquito, , a long structure called as straw with 6 miniature tubes. Two tubes out of the 6 miniature tubes are with serrated tooth like structure. Mosquitoes pierce the skin by pulling the pair of the tubes up and down. The next two tubes help to catch the skin stiffly and the fifth tube goes through the punch, reach the blood vessel and suck the blood. There are censor cells at the end of it. Thus, finding out the availability of blood vessels beneath the skin, they pierce and go into that place.
The sixth tube called as ‘Hypo pharynx’ is dangerous to us. Mosquito passes its saliva through this. A chemical in its saliva dilutes the blood without freezing and causes to suck easily. Through the saliva disease germs enter inside the body and infection is caused.
Taking the wonderful body structure of the mosquitoes as a model, researches are made to make the miniature needles for using in the operations required for the treatment. Through the miniature tubes anesthetic liquid is leaked out. Through another miniature tube, the medicine can be sent inside or the blood can be taken out for research. While the new type of the needle is pierced, there will not be any pain.
