IS PRODUCTION OF OXYGEN ADEQUATE FOR THE HUMANITY?
We inhale 7 to 8 liters of oxygen on an average in a minute. When we breathe in 20% oxygen goes in and when we breathe out, 15 % oxygen goes out. During each time, only 25% of the oxygen inhaled goes to the body. Thus, we use 660 liter of oxygen, in a day.
A tree which is 3040 meter high and 50 cm breadth releases 92 liters of oxygen in a day. Thus we use the oxygen released by 7 trees which have average growth, in a day.
700 crores of people live in the world. 4900 crores of trees are required to produce the oxygen necessary for them. A study revealed that there are 40,000 crores of trees in the world. Oxygen is required for animals also apart from human beings, for breathing. Not only trees, but also some living beings breathe in carbon-di-oxide and breathe out oxygen.
In the world, 90% living beings are breathing out oxygen. There is adequate oxygen in the space, required for 700 crores of people for 5 crores of years. So, we need worry about the availability of oxygen. If the other natural facilities destroy, that would be the only challenge for us.
