Boiled rice-1 tumblar; mustard-1 spoon; urid dal-1 spoon; Bengal gram-1 spoon; scrapped coconut; oil and salt-as required.
Method of preparation:
Soak the rice for 2 hours and grind it. Let it not be so nice. It should be like ‘ravai’. Water should be added in very less quantity. Keep a pan on the stove, add a little oil and heat it. Put mustard, urid dal and the Bengal gram. After everything is boiled, put them with the ground rice. Add the scrapped coconut and salt, with the flour. Now mix all and make them into small balls. Then put the balls on the idly-maker and boil it for 10 minutes. After it is cooked, you can take them all and they are now ready to serve. The rice balls will be tasty to eat with any kind of chutney.
