VEGETABLE PONGAL- RECIPE:
Raw rice-1 tumbler; moong dal-half tumbler; carrot- chopped into pieces; beans-half tumbler; green chilli-3; chopped ginger and the skin duly peeled off ; 2 tsp; pepper and cumin seeds each 1 tsp; cashewnuts-20; curry leaves, ghee and salt.
Cook the raw rice and the moong dal with salt. Boil the beans, carrot nad the green peas with a little salt and add with the composition of rice and dal. Pour ghee in the pan, heat and fry the cashew nuts and fry in the same ghee the pepper and the cumin seeds and garnish with the chopped green chilli , curry leaves and ginger and mix with the pongal and serve with suitable chutney.
